AB  - Alfalfa is the most significant perennial and multi-crop forage legume in Serbia. Seed production has numerous problems, which causes high variability in seed yield. One of the problems in this production is the weed seeds that are in the natural alfalfa seed after harvesting. Minimum purity must be greater than 95 %, up to 2 % of other species are allowed, and up to 0.5 % of weeds, but no quarantine weeds such as dodder (Cuscuta.sp). Weed seeds were detected in natural alfalfa seeds: Sinapis arvensis L., Amaranthus retroflexus L., Rumex obtusifolius, L., Cuscuta campestris Yunk., Rumex acetosella L., Plantago lanceolata L., Plantago major L., Rumex crispus L., Galium aparine L., Convolvus arvensis L. as expected, the variability of the number of weed seeds detected from the seed lots over three years was high: CV% = 14.78 for wild sorghum – S. halepense (L.) Pers. In the 2022, to CV% = 65.47 for ribwort plantain – Plantago lanceolata L. in the 2020. For the weight of 1000 seeds of the examined weeds, the variability was determined from CV% = 5.869 for the ribwort plantain – Plantago lanceolata L. (year 2020), to CV% = 34.41 for yellow dock – Rumex crispus L. (year 2022).

AB  - Preservation of genetic variability is very important, especially due to climate change and the need to adapt agricultural production to new conditions. Institute for forage crops Kru{\v{s}}evac keeps a small collection of vetch genotypes (Vicia sativa L. and Vicia vilosa L.). Most genotypes are native to South Australia and the rest originates from Serbia. In Serbia, common vetch is cultivated as a feed for ruminants and can be grown for different purposes as a pure crop or in mixtures with cereals. The quality and yield of vetch green mass is very important for both purposes. A small-plot trial was carried out in 2018 and 2019, at the experimental plot of Institute for forage crops in Kru{\v{s}}evac, Serbia. Twelve promising genotypes of common vetch (Vicia sativa L.) were examined for green forage dry matter yield and green mass quality. The moment of green mass cutting, for each genotype, was at the stage of full flowering and the formation of the first pods. The following parameters of green mass were examined: forage dry matter yield (DMY), crude protein (CP), crude ash (CA), crude fiber (CF), crude fat (CF), as well as acid detergent fiber (ADF), and neutral detergent fiber (NDF). Significant variability was obtained for all tested traits, except for the fat and ash content. Investigations of genetic variability of common vetch can be a basis of further investigations and improvement of new cultivars with desirable characteristics.

AB  - In these studies, the physical and physiological seed properties and seedling’s vigour properties in five ZP maize hybrids (ZP1, ZP2, ZP3, ZP4 and ZP5)were investigated. Hybrid seed was divided into small (SF) and large fractions (LF) The hybrid combination and seed size did not significantly (p ≥ 0.05) affect seed germination. Width, thickness, length, seed weight, dead seeds, abnormal seedling, stem and root growth and fresh seedling weight were significantly influenced by hybrid and seed fraction LF produced higher stems by 1.18 cm, longer roots by 2.94 cm and higher seedling weight by 0.032 g (the hybrid average) as compared to SF. The influence of hybrids on stem growth differed by 1.9 cm on SF seed and 1.7 cm on LF seed. Significant and positive dependence (p ≥ 0.001) between seed germination was determined with the growth of stem, root and seedling weight, as well as with the 1000 seed weight (p ≥ 0.01) and with a thickness (TS) (p ≥ 0.05). Seed germination with abnormal seedlings achieved a negative (p ≥ 0.01) significant correlation. Influence of seed pre-treatment and temperatures during germination of four seed lots of Festulolium

AB  - A species called Festulolium was created in the middle of the last century by crossing two genuses: Lolium and Festuca. This was followed by a period of research on Festulolium from the aspect of genetics and breeding, seed production, cultivation, technology and use. We conducted various pre-treatment impact studies on Festulolium seeds: i) cooling at 5-7 oC for 3 days, ii) application of KNO3 on seed germination medium, and the third pre-treatment was control, without pre-treatment (iii). After pre-treatment (i, ii, iii), seed germination have examined at the following temperature regimes (provided by the seed quality regulations): 20 oC (dark); alternately 20oC/ 30oC (light /dark); and 30 oC (dark). The tests were performed on four seed lots of the variety Peron, in four replicates. The germination temperature of 30 oC reduced germination and increased dead seed and abnormal germination in all pre-treatments. The variant without the application of pre-treatment had a significantly lower overall germination in the assessment of Festulolium seed quality. Seed lots showed a high influence on the Festulolium seed quality.

AB  - The paper presents the results of the cleaning process of five different lots of natural alfalfa seeds and five different lots of natural red clover seeds. Natural alfalfa and red clover seeds had 75 % to 77 % purity. The experiment was performed in the seed processing center of the Institute for Forage Crops Kruševac. Seed cleaning is performed on different machines that work on the principle of differences in the physical properties of seeds. Significant parameters that define the quality of seeds after processing on the cleaning equipment are the amount of pure seed, weed seed, the seed of other crops, inert matter, amount of pure processed seed, seed losses and processing output. The obtained results enable the correct adjustment of the equipment for the seed processing, depending on the amount and type of weeds and other impurities found in the natural seed of alfalfa and red clover.

AB  - This paper presents the results of the seed processing of ten lots of natural alfalfa
seed with different purity (from 68.0% to 86.5%). The test was carried out at the

particularly big problem in alfalfa seeds. In the case of high-purity seeds with low
quarantine weeds share, processing output are high. By the legal procedure on the
seed quality, the content of pure seed, inert materials, weeds and other species in
the processed seeds is defined. The efficiency of the alfalfa seed processing
depends on the initial purity of the seed, as well as the applied technical and
technological process of seed processing. Based on the obtained results, it is
possible to optimally adjust and select the appropriate equipment for the processing
of alfalfa seed, depending on the quantity and type of weeds and other ingredients
in the natural alfalfa seeds.

AB  - This paper presents the results of the cleaning tests of three different natural alfalfa seed lots and three different red clover seed lots performed using seed processing machines. The alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) and the red clover (Trifolium pratense L.) are two of the most important perennial forage legumes in the Republic of Serbia. Alfalfa and red clover seeds for sowing should be clean, i.e. free from weeds and foreign matter, and of high germination and genetic values. Such requirements can only be achieved by cleaning, i.e. removing all undesirable impurities and poor-quality seeds. The following parameters important for the seed cleaning process and equipment were observed: seed purity, contents of weed and other crop seeds, inert substance content, amounts of processed seeds (kg), seed loss and processing output. The results obtained facilitate (depending on the amount and type of weeds and other impurities found in the alfalfa and red clover seed lots considered) the proper adjustment of the seed processing equipment to obtain the largest possible quantity of quality seeds that are in compliance with the laws and regulations of Serbia.

Effect of seed storage on seed germination and seedling quality of Festulolium in comparison with related forage grasses

AB  - Tests of seed germination, seed dormancy and seedling growth were performed on 0-, 6-, 20- and 30-months-old seed lots of Festulolium in comparison with Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum) and meadow fescue (Festuca pratensis). Tests were performed on seeds harvested in 2 different years (2014 and 2015) resulting in no major difference between the years. Seed storage affected seed viability and dormancy and seedling growth in all 3 grasses. The maximum germination of Festulolium seeds was achieved 6 months after harvest (95% normal seedlings); germination decreased significantly thereafter. While maximum germination of L. multiflorum and F. pratensis seeds was also achieved following storage for 6 months, these germination rates (93 and 90%, respectively) were retained until at least 20 months in storage. After storage for 30 months, seed germination of Festulolium, L. multiflorum and F. pratensis had declined to 72, 79 and 83%, respectively. High germination in all species was associated with higher rates of seedling growth. In an artificial seed ageing test, a temperature of 41 °C (during 48 and 72 hours) was found to effectively rank seed lots for germination performance in all 3 grasses. This test seems to have application for use in the seed trade to identify seed lots which could deteriorate more rapidly in storage. Further studies are needed to verify this hypothesis.

AB  - početnih čistoća, na mašinama za doradu. U Republici Srbiji gaji se veći broj višegodišnjih leguminoza zbog njihovog izuzetnog značaja u proizvodnji stočne hrane. Najznačajnije višegodišnje krmne leguminoze u Srbiji po površinama na kojima se gaje, kao i po kvalitetu hraniva u ishrani domaćih životinja su lucerka i crvena detelina. Seme koje se koristi za setvu za njihovu proizvodnju mora da bude čisto, visoke klijavosti i genetske vrednosti. Svi ovi zahtevi ostvaruje se doradom, odnosno odstranjivanjem svih nečistoća i semena lošijeg kvaliteta. Cilj ispitivanja bio je da se pri doradi semena ove dve višegodišnje leguminoze prikažu koji su parametri efikasnosti mašina za doradu. Prikazani su svi relevantni parametri koji definišu karakteristike mašina za doradu semena, a to su: čisto seme (%), seme korova i seme drugih kultura (%), inertne materije (%), količina dorađenog semena (kg), gubici semena (%) i randman dorade (%).Dobijeni rezultati omogućavaju izbor odgovarajućih mašina i njihovo pravilno podešavanje pri doradi semena, u zavisnosti od količine i vrste korova i ostalih primesa koje se nalaze u naturalnom semenu.

AB  - Timothy grass is a fodder grass mostly grown as a pure stand or in mixed stands with fodder legumes at higher elevations. It is cultivated for its high yields and the supreme quality of roughage containing Timothy grass. There are different methods for preserving the seed quality of fodder grasses relative to the following parameters: species, variety, harvest methods, postharvest treatments, as well as the storage temperature and air humidity. Poor seed germination is often caused by the presence of dormant seeds which fail to germinate despite ideal conditions in the field or laboratory. After a certain storage period, dormant seeds start germinating, but prolonged storage periods result in seed aging which is associated with reductions in seed germination, seedling growth and the total mass of the root system. The seed quality features of four Timothy grass seed lots (the 'Foka' cultivar), at ages of 3, 15 and 27 months, were examined in this study according to the share of dormant, germinated and dead seeds, as well as abnormal seedlings. Upon assessing seed germination, the stem length (cm), radicle length (cm) and fresh weight (g) of seedlings were measured. Different seed lots were found to exert no effect on the seed quality parameters examined and the growth of seedlings. Conversely, the seed age had a significant impact (P <0.001 to P <0.05) on the seed quality parameters examined and the seedling growth.

Possibilities for improving the seed quality by application of temperature treatment before sowing

AB  - In addition to normal seeds, hard seeds of alfalfa have often been found after harvest. Such seeds prevent the penetration of water and gases into the seed interior, causing the reduction in germination. They do not tend to germinate even under ideal laboratory or field conditions, or they exhibit late germination. Consequently, they are of no relevance to planting crops. A decrease in the amount of hard seeds and an increase in germination can be achieved by scarification of acids, physical damage to the seed coat, hot water, cooling, etc. Temperature treatment scarification prior to sowing is a simple and inexpensive solution, safe for humans and the environment. The tests were carried out on three alfalfa cultivars: ‘Medijana’, ‘Banat’ and ‘Zaječarska 83’. Their seeds were exposed to temperatures of 70 oC (for 10, 30, 60 and 90 minutes), 80 oC (for 10, 30, 60 and 90 minutes) and 90 oC (for 10, 30, 60 and 90 minutes). After the treatment under laboratory conditions, the germination rate and the share of hard/dormant seeds were investigated. The results obtained indicate that the increase in germination can be significant (p ≥ 0.05) provided temperature seed treatments are applied. Furthermore, the optimal temperature treatment was found to be essentially dependent on the specific alfalfa cultivar.

AB  - U semenu lucerke se, osim normalnog semena, javlja i seme sa tvrdom semenjačom koja onemogućava prodiranje vode i gasova u unutrašnjost i tako sprečava klijanje. Zbog toga, tvrda semena ne klijaju, iako su u idealnim laboratorijskim uslovima ili u polju. Dešava se i da klijaju naknadno, kada su klijanci iz normalnih semena razvijeni, ali kao takvi nemaju značaja za zasnivanje useva. Smanjenje broja tvrdih semena i povećanje klijavosti može se postići skarifikacijom semena kiselinama, fizičkim oštećenjem semenjače, toplom vodom, hlađenjem i dr. Skarifikacija primenom temperaturnih tretmana pred setvu je jednostavna, jeftina i bezbedna za čoveka i okolinu. Ispitivanja su sprovedena na tri sorte lucerke: Medijana, Banat, Zaječarska 83. Seme sve tri sorte je izlagano 10, 30, 60 i 90 minuta na temperaturama od 70, 80 i 90oC. Nakon tretmana u laboratorijskim uslovima ispitivana je klijavost i tvrda-dormantna semena. Dobijeni rezultati ukazuju da se temperaturnim tretmanima semena može značajno (p≥0.05) uticati na povećanje klijavosti. Utvrđena je značajna interakcija sorta x temperaturni tretman, što ukazuje da je optimalni temperaturni tretman bio različit za različite sorte.

Određivanje relevantnih parametara pri doradi semena crvene deteline (Trifolium pratense L.)

AB  - The paper presents the results of the seed processing of the natural red clover (Trifolium pratense L.) seed with different initial purity in the seed processing center in the Institute for forage crops in Kruševac. Seeds of red clover for sowing must be clean, with high germination and high genetic value. Most of these requirements can be achieved through the seed processing, by the removal of impurities and seeds of poorer quality. In this process, there are number of technical-technological operations such as: cleaning, declarations, packaging in appropriate wrapping material and storage. The task of cleansing seeds is to remove all other seeds, weeds, impurities and extracts pure seed of the basic culture. In this way, the seed is prepared in a timely manner for good germination, sprouting, and cropping. During the processing of the red clover seeds, the relevant parameters on the equipment were determined: pure seed (%), weeds and seed of other cultures (%), inert matter (%), amount of processed seed (kg), seed losses (%) and processing output of the seed processing (%). The losses of red clover seeds in seed processing are in direct dependence on the type and quantity of weeds and other impurities present in the natural seed. On the basis of the obtained results, it is possible to optimally adjust and select the appropriate equipment for the red clover processing, depending on the quantity and type of weeds and other ingredients in the natural red clover seeds.
AB  - Rad prikazuje rezultate ispitivanja pri doradi naturalnog semena crvene deteline (Trifolium pratense L.) različitih početnih čistoća u doradnom centru Instituta za krmno bilje u Kruševcu. Seme crvene deteline za setvu mora biti čisto, visoke klijavosti i genetske vrednosti. Najveći deo ovih zahteva je moguće ostvariti kroz doradu, odnosno odstranjivanjem nečistoća i semena lošijeg kvaliteta. Pri procesu dorade semena crvene deteline postoji veći broj tehničko-tehnoloških operacija kao što su: čišćenje, deklarisanje, pakovanje u odgovarajuću ambalažu i skladištenje. Zadatak čišćenja semena je da se iz naturalnog semena sa primesama odstrane sva semena drugih kultura, korovi, primese i izdvoji samo čisto seme osnovne kulture. Ovakvim načinom seme se blagovremeno priprema u povoljno stanje za kvalitetnu setvu, klijanje i nicanje. Relevantni parametri na mašinama za doradu određivani su pri procesu dorade semena crvene deteline. Određivani su sledeći parametri: čisto seme crvene deteline (%), seme korova i seme drugih kultura (%), inertne materije (%), količina dorađenog semena (kg), gubici semena (%) i randman dorade (%). Kod dorade semena crvene deteline gubici su u direktnoj zavisnosti od vrste i količine korova i ostalih nečistoća prisutnih u naturalnom semenu deteline, odnosno početne čistoće. Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata ispitivanja moguće je izvršiti kvalitetno podešavanje i izbor odgovarajućih mašina za doradu semena crvene deteline, u zavisnosti od količine i vrste korova i primesa u naturalnom semenu crvene deteline.

abstract = "The paper presents the results of the seed processing of the natural red clover (Trifolium pratense L.) seed with different initial purity in the seed processing center in the Institute for forage crops in Kruševac. Seeds of red clover for sowing must be clean, with high germination and high genetic value. Most of these requirements can be achieved through the seed processing, by the removal of impurities and seeds of poorer quality. In this process, there are number of technical-technological operations such as: cleaning, declarations, packaging in appropriate wrapping material and storage. The task of cleansing seeds is to remove all other seeds, weeds, impurities and extracts pure seed of the basic culture. In this way, the seed is prepared in a timely manner for good germination, sprouting, and cropping. During the processing of the red clover seeds, the relevant parameters on the equipment were determined: pure seed (%), weeds and seed of other cultures (%), inert matter (%), amount of processed seed (kg), seed losses (%) and processing output of the seed processing (%). The losses of red clover seeds in seed processing are in direct dependence on the type and quantity of weeds and other impurities present in the natural seed. On the basis of the obtained results, it is possible to optimally adjust and select the appropriate equipment for the red clover processing, depending on the quantity and type of weeds and other ingredients in the natural red clover seeds., Rad prikazuje rezultate ispitivanja pri doradi naturalnog semena crvene deteline (Trifolium pratense L.) različitih početnih čistoća u doradnom centru Instituta za krmno bilje u Kruševcu. Seme crvene deteline za setvu mora biti čisto, visoke klijavosti i genetske vrednosti. Najveći deo ovih zahteva je moguće ostvariti kroz doradu, odnosno odstranjivanjem nečistoća i semena lošijeg kvaliteta. Pri procesu dorade semena crvene deteline postoji veći broj tehničko-tehnoloških operacija kao što su: čišćenje, deklarisanje, pakovanje u odgovarajuću ambalažu i skladištenje. Zadatak čišćenja semena je da se iz naturalnog semena sa primesama odstrane sva semena drugih kultura, korovi, primese i izdvoji samo čisto seme osnovne kulture. Ovakvim načinom seme se blagovremeno priprema u povoljno stanje za kvalitetnu setvu, klijanje i nicanje. Relevantni parametri na mašinama za doradu određivani su pri procesu dorade semena crvene deteline. Određivani su sledeći parametri: čisto seme crvene deteline (%), seme korova i seme drugih kultura (%), inertne materije (%), količina dorađenog semena (kg), gubici semena (%) i randman dorade (%). Kod dorade semena crvene deteline gubici su u direktnoj zavisnosti od vrste i količine korova i ostalih nečistoća prisutnih u naturalnom semenu deteline, odnosno početne čistoće. Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata ispitivanja moguće je izvršiti kvalitetno podešavanje i izbor odgovarajućih mašina za doradu semena crvene deteline, u zavisnosti od količine i vrste korova i primesa u naturalnom semenu crvene deteline.",

Performance testing of field crop sprayers in the Rasina district

AB  - In agricultural production, pests and diseases of agricultural crops, as well as weed plants, cause significant losses in the yield and quality of agricultural products. One of the most effective ways of fighting is the use of a wide range of chemicals called pesticides. In accordance with the EU Directives 2009/128/EC and 2006/42/EC underlying the standard EN 13790, the Plant Protection Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Environment of the Republic of Serbia has established a framework for the control of sprayers and mist blowers. Maintaining sprayers for pesticide application in a good state of repair and proper working order reduces their harmful effects on human health and the environment. The nozzle is one of the most important parts of plant protection machines, responsible for the following major functions: delivery of a given amount of liquid in a unit of time, dispersion of the liquid by making droplets of different sizes and forming a stream of a particular shape. Testing of the working safety of sprayers and nozzles was carried out in accordance with the European Standard EN 13790 which specifies the methods and equipment for inspection. The flow rate of nozzles was measured by an S001 nozzle tester (AAMS-Salvarani, Belgium). The measuring equipment used for testing the pesticide application device can accurately determine any deviation and irregularity in the application.
AB  - U poljoprivrednoj proizvodnji, štetočine i bolesti poljoprivrednih kultura, kao i korovske biljke svake godine prouzrokuju značajne gubitke u prinosu i kvalitetu poljoprivrednih proizvoda. Jedan od najefikasnijih načina borbe jeste primena brojnih i različitih hemijskih sredstava, koja se nazivaju opštim nazivom pesticidi. U skladu sa Direktivama Evropskog parlamenta 2009/128/EC i 2006/42/EC, kojima je osnova standard EN 13790, koji propisuje obavezni pregled mašina za zaštitu bilja, Uprava za zaštitu bilja Ministarstva poljoprivrede i životne sredine Republike Srbije uspostavlja okvir za kontrolu sistema prskalica i orošivača. Upotrebom tehnički ispravnih i kontrolisanih ratarskih prskalica za primenu pesticida smanjuje se njihov štetni uticaj na zdravlje ljudi i životnu okolinu. Jedan od najznačajnijih delova mašina za zaštitu bilja predstavljaju rasprskivači. Oni obavljaju najvažnije funkcije, kao što su: propuštaju zadate količine tečnosti u jedinici vremena, raspršuju tečnost praveći kapljice odgovarajućih veličina i formiraju mlaz odgovarajućeg oblika. Testiranje radne ispravnosti prskalice i rasprskivača vršeno je u skladu sa evropskim normativom EN 13790, koji propisuje metode i opremu kojom se obavlja inspekcija. Protok rasprskivača je meren pomoću ispitivača pojedinačnih rasprskivača S001 belgijskog proizvođača 'AAMS-Salvarani'. Primenom merne opreme za ispitivanje ispravnosti rada uređaja za primenu pesticida, merenjem je moguće tačno ustanoviti svako odstupanje i nepravilnost u radu. Dobijeni rezultati ukazuju na to da postoje značajna odstupanja ispitivanih parametara.

AB  - Sainfoin seeds were irradiated by four different lasers (He-Ne laser, three semiconductor lasers of wavelengths 670 nm, 890 nm and of wavelength range 630-680 nm). Each group of seed was irradiated only once, using different exposure times: 1-, 2-, 3- and 4- minutes. The same procedure was applied before autumn (four months post-harvest) and spring sowing (eight months post-harvest). Laser bio-stimulation showed that the optimal operation of the laser was at 890 nm using 3- minutes exposure time in both sowing periods. Slightly weaker, but also significant (p  gt = 0.01) impact on improving germination was in case of laser of 890 nm using 2- and 4- minutes of exposure time, and 630-680 nm laser using 4- minutes exposure time in both sowing periods. In the spring sowing, only laser of 632.8 nm using 3- minutes exposure time and laser of 670 nm laser between 2- and 4- minutes exposure time had significant improvement of seed germination. In the autumn sowing, He-Ne lasers (632.8 nm) using 4-minutes exposure time, semiconductor lasers of 670 nm laser using 3- minutes exposure time, and 630-680 nm laser using 3-minutes exposure time, also significantly (p  gt = 0.01) increased seed germination compared to control.

AB  - Alfalfa is the most important perennial forage legume used for seed production and fodder. The seeds of alfalfa for sowing must be of high purity, germination and high genetic value. The initial purity of naturalized alfalfa seed significantly affect the resulting amount of processed seed in processing process. In the processing of natural seed alfalfa seed material to obtain adequate quality by law regulate used a complex machines for cleaning and sorting seeds. In the processing center of the Institute for forage crops in Globoder-Kruševac, Serbia alfalfa natural seed are processed. The six different parties of natural seeds of different purity in the range of 66 % to 85 % were processed. Also, after each stage of treatment, losses of seeds and seed rate obtained at the end of the processing were measured.
AB  - Lucerka je najznačajnija višegodišnja krmna leguminoza koja se osim za krmu koristi i za proizvodnju semena. Seme lucerke za setvu mora biti visoke čistoće, klijavosti, kao i visoke genetske vrednosti. Početna čistoća naturalnog semena lucerke značajno utiče na dobijenu količinu dorađenog semena pri procesu dorade. Takođe utiče i na utrošak energije u procesu dorade, kao i ljudskog rada i količinu otpada. Tokom dorade naturalnog semena lucerke za dobijanje semenskog materijala odgovarajućeg kvaliteta koji je zakonski regulisan koriste se složene mašine za prečišćavanje i sortiranje semena. U doradnom centru Instituta za krmno bilje u Globoderu-Kruševac, Srbija dorađivano je naturalno seme lucerke šest različitih partija čistoće od 66% do 85%. Dorada semena ima zadatak da se seme pripremi za setvu, klijanje i nicanje, kao i čuvanje u skladištima do momenta setve. Dorada se izvodi na više složenih mašina koje rade na različitim principima u sukcesivnom nizu što zavisi od ulazne čistoće semena. Veoma je važno da razlika između količine čistog semena koja se laboratorijski proceni i stvarne količine dobijenog semena na kraju procesa dorade bude što manja. Količina dobijenog semena lucerke i ostalih sitnozrnih kultura pri doradi direktno zavisi od udela korovskih vrsta i ostalih primesa u naturalnom semenu. Seme visoke čistoće, sa malim udelom semena štetnih korova koji otežavaju i poskupljuju proizvodnju, dovodi i do visokog randmana. Efkasna dorade semena lucerke se ostvaruje odgovarajućom kombinacijom mašina za doradu pri čemu se dobija odgovarajući kvalitet i veća količina dorađenog semena u kraćem vremenskom periodu uz što manji utrošak energije.

AB  - Dvogodišnja ispitivanja uticaja porekla sadnog materijala krompira (Solanum tuberosum L), na morfološke osobine semenske krtole sorte Kondor, izvedena su tokom 2009. i 2010. godine. Priprema sadnog materijala paralelnom proizvodnjom semenskog krompira izvedena je tokom 2009. i 2010. godine na dva lokaliteta različite nadmorske visine: Kotraž-Jelica 700 m nv. i Sjenica-Pešter 1300 m nv. Uslovi proizvodnje sadnog materijala krtola poreklom sa niže nadmorske visine (700 m nv.) doprineli su da semenske krtole budu veće fiziološke starosti i da kao posledica toga obrazuju vrlo značajno manju dužinu klica po krtoli, za 1,38 mm, ili za 13,49% manju, u odnosu na dužinu klica po krtoli utvrđenu na krtolama poreklom sa 1300 m nv. Sadni materijal poreklom sa manje nadmorske visine 700 m nv. je u obe godine istraživanja obrazovao značajno veći broj listova po krtoli, u odnosu na prosečan broj listova po krtoli ustanovljen kod krtola poreklom sa veće nadmorske visine 1300 m nv. Upotrebom sadnog materijala sorte Kondor poreklom sa 700 m nv. koji obrazuje veći broj klica po krtoli, i samim tim može se očekivati i veći broj primarnih stabala po biljci, što bi odgovaralo u semenskoj proizvodnji (veći broj sitnih krtola). AB  - Owing to its characteristics, alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) is important for the production of high-quality fodder. Its seed yields vary widely and are heavily influenced by environmental factors. The synchronization of alfalfa seed harvest requirements with environmental factors is partially possible through the cutting system. The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of a cutting schedule on the germination and size of alfalfa seeds. The pre-cutting time did not significantly affect the absolute mass within a 1 pre-cut system, whereas the number of pre-cuts had a reducing impact on the absolute mass within a 2 pre-cut system. The cutting system had no significant effects on seed germination. While the ecological conditions during the year had significant impacts, the lowest seed germination was recorded in the year with the highest rainfall during the summer period.
AB  - Plava lucerka (Medicago sativa L.) je zbog svih svojih osobina značajna u proizvodnji kvalitetne kabaste hrane. Prinosi semena u Srbiji jako variraju u zavisnosti od godine i kreću se, od onih koji ne opravdavaju troškove žetve, do preko 1000 kg ha-1, dok se u glavnim proizvodnim reonima u svetu beleže stabilniji prinosi. Različitim vremenom kosidbe predotkosa moguće je delimično upravljati vremenom cvetanja semenskog otkosa i na taj način uticati na sinhronizaciju cvetanja i oprašivanja, formiranja mahuna, sazrevanja i žetve sa periodom godine kada postoje najpovoljniji uslovi za to. Cilj ovih istraživanja je da se u poljskim uslovima ispita uticaj vremena kosidbe na klijavost i krupnoću semena lucerke. Praćeni su uticaji različitih rokova kosidbe prvog predotkosa u proizvodnji semena iz drugog otkosa i uticaj dva predotkosa u proizvodnji semena iz trećeg otkosa. Vreme predotkosa u sistemu sa jednim predotkosom nije značajno uticalo na apsolutnu masu, dok je u varijanti sa dva predotkosa ostvarena manja apsolutna masa. Posmatrano zajedno u trogodišnjem periodu ostvarena je prosečno masa 1000 semena od 1,92 g, a apsolutna masa se kretala u intervalu od 1,75 g do 2,07 g. Sistem kosidbe nije imao značajan uticaja na klijavost semena. Ekološki uslovi u toku godine imali su značajan utiacaj na klijavost i najmanja klijavost je ostavrena u godini sa najviše padavina u letnjem periodu. Prosečna klijavost je iznosila 82,11%, sa variranjem od 71,50% do 88,40%.

AB  - Vetch (Vicia sativa L.) is annual plant from the legume family (Fabaceae) and originates from the temperate zone of Europe and Asia. It has a special place in the provision of ani­mal feed (fodder) in the zone of moderate climate. It belongs to high-quality protein fodder plants. There has not been a systematic research of vetch mycoflora in Serbia. This research aims to present the results of preliminary research of mycopopulation of 15 different genotypes of vetch. Total of 600 plant parts has been examined and 9 genera of fungi were isola­ted: Fusarium, Phythophthora, Rhizoctonia, Phoma, Verticillium, Alternaria, Sclerotinia, Botrytis and Ascochyta. On the plants from which the fungi were isolated, there were ma­croscopically clearly visible symptoms of infection.
AB  - Grahorica (Vicia sativa L.) je jednogodišnja biljka iz porodice mahunarki (Fabaceae). Potiče iz umerenog klimatskog pojasa Evrope i Azije. Ima posebno mesto u obezbeđenju kabaste stočne hrane (krme) u zoni umerenog klimata. Pripada visokokvalitetnim proteinskim krmnim biljkama. Sistematskih istraživanja mikoflore grahorice u Srbiji do sada nije bilo. U ovome radu iznosimo rezultate preliminarnih istraživanja mikopopulacije 15 različitih genotipova grahorice. Ukupno je pregledano 600 biljnih delova sa kojih je izolovano 9 rodova gljiva: Fusarium, Phythophthora, Rhizoctonia, Phoma, Verticillium, Alternaria, Sclerotinia, Botrytis i Ascochyta. Na biljkama iz kojih su izolovane gljive bili su jasno vidljivi makroskopski simptomi zaraze.

AB  - The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of foliar application of molybdenum on the germination energy and share of hard alfalfa seeds. Climatic conditions during the year had the greatest impact on the germination energy and share of hard seeds. Energy of germination was influenced by climatic conditions during the development of crops, ranging from 68.5 % to 84.1 %. Minimum germination energy was generated in the year with the most rainfall during seed formation, and the highest germination energy was achieved in the year with less rainfall during seed formation. The share of hard seeds ranged from 5.1 % to 6.7 %. Treatments with molybdenum in our research did not realize the difference in the germination energy and share of hard seeds that is statistically justified in any year of study.
AB  - Molibden je veoma važan u simbiotskoj fiksaciji azota i lucerka spada u grupu biljaka koja je osetljiva na nedostatak molibdena. U trogodišnjem periodu obavljena su ispitivanja na oglednom polju Instituta za krmno bilje u Kruševcu. Cilj ovih istraživanja bio je ispitati uticaj folijarne primene molibdena na energiju klijanja semena lucerke i udeo trvdih semena. Folijarana prihrana molibdenom (0,1% amonijum molibdata (NH4)6 Mo7O4 x 4H2O je obavljena preko dve aplikacije (prva aplikacija je obavljena u fazi intezivnog porasta, a druga aplikacija u fazi butonizacije i početka cvetanja useva) sa količinom vode 1000 l ha-1. Energija klijanja je bila pod uticajem klimatskih uslova u toku razvoja useva i kretala se od 68,5% do 84,1%. Najmanja energija klijanja je ostvarena u godini sa najviše padavina u periodu formiranja semena. Energija klijanja se razlikuje po godinama ali je prosečna energija klijanja na kontrolni i varijatni tretiranoj molibdenom ujedančena. Udeo tvrdih semena se kretao od 5,1% do 6,7%. Najmanji udeo tvrdih semena je ostvaren u godini sa najviše padavina u letnjem peridu a najveći u godini sa manje padavina u periodu formiranja semena. Prosečni udeo tvrdih semena na kontrolnoj i tretiranoj varijanti nije ostvario značajne razlike. Tretmani sa molibdenom u našim istraživanjima nisu ostvarili razliku u energiji klijanja i udelu tvrdih semena koja je i statistički opravdana ni u jednoj godini ispitivanja.

U trogodišnjem periodu obavljena su ispitivanja na oglednom polju Instituta za krmno bilje u Kruševcu. Cilj ovih istraživanja bio je ispitati uticaj folijarne primene molibdena na energiju klijanja semena lucerke i udeo trvdih semena. Folijarana prihrana molibdenom (0,1% amonijum molibdata (NH4)6 Mo7O4 x 4H2O je obavljena preko dve aplikacije (prva aplikacija je obavljena u fazi intezivnog porasta, a druga aplikacija u fazi butonizacije i početka cvetanja useva) sa količinom vode 1000 l ha-1. Energija klijanja je bila pod uticajem klimatskih uslova u toku razvoja useva i kretala se od 68,5% do 84,1%. Najmanja energija klijanja je ostvarena u godini sa najviše padavina u periodu formiranja semena. Energija klijanja se razlikuje po godinama ali je prosečna energija klijanja na kontrolni i varijatni tretiranoj molibdenom ujedančena. Udeo tvrdih semena se kretao od 5,1% do 6,7%. Alfalfa is very important perennial forage legume which is used for fodder and seed production. Alfalfa seed is possible to achieve high yields and very good financial effects. To obtain the seed material with good characteristics complex machines for cleaning and sorting seeds are used. In the processing center of the Institute for forage crops in Kruševac, alfalfa seed with different initial purity are processed. It is very important that the difference between the amounts of pure seed from laboratory assessment and the actual amount after processing, are low. The six parties of natural seeds of different purity in the range of 74 % to 77.1 % were processed. Also, after each stage of treatment, losses of seeds were measured and seed rate obtained at the end of the processing.
AB  - U radu je obavljena analiza uticaja početne čistoće naturalnog semena lucerke na dobijenu količinu dorađenog semena pri procesu dorade. Lucerka je veoma značajna višegodišnja krmna leguminoza koja se osim za krmu koristi i za proizvodnju semena. Gajenjem lucerke za seme, uz odgovarajuću tehnologiju moguće je ostvariti visoke prinose i veoma dobre finansijske efekte jer je seme lucerke kurentna roba na tržištu. U doradnom centru Instituta za krmno bilje u Kruševcu dorađivano je naturalno seme lucerke različitih početnih čistoća. Zadatak dorade je da se seme pripremi za setvu, klijanje i nicanje, kao i čuvanje u skladištima do momenta setve. Proces dorade se izvodi na više mašina za doradu, što podrazumeva različite postupke koji se odvijaju u sukcesivnom nizu što zavisi od ulazne čistoće semena. Pri doradi semena lucerke veoma je važno da razlika između količine čistog semena koja se laboratorijski proceni i stvarne količine dobijenog semena u pogonu za dorado bude što manja. U procesu dorade semena sitnozrnih leguminoza, visina randmana semena direktno zavisi od procenta korovskih vrsta i ostalih primesa u naturalnom semenu. Seme visoke čistoće, sa malim procentom štetnih korova koji otežavaju i poskupljuju proizvodnju, dovodi i do visokog randmana. Pri doradi semena lucerke naturalna čistoća semena zavisi od stanja useva i procesa žetve. Dorađivano je šest partija naturalnog semena različite čistoće u intervalu od 74% do 77,1%. Takođe su, posle svake etape dorade, određivani gubici semena, kao i dobijena količina semena na kraju procesa dorade.

The soil on which the trial was conducted is of weakly acidic reaction and zinc content which is considered adequate. Zinc fertilization was performed by foliar split application. In the investigation years, meteorological factors showed large variations. Treatment with zinc achieved on average slightly higher germination energy, but differences were not statistically significant. Zinc fertilization had no effect on the number of hard seeds. Climatic conditions had impact on the germination energy and the proportion of hard seeds.
AB  - Cink je jedan od mikroelementa koji se često nalazi u nedostatku kod gajenih biljaka. Cilj ovih istraživanja bio je ispitati uticaj folijarne primene cinka na energiju klijanja semena lucerke i udeo tvrdih semena. U trogodišnjem periodu obavljena su ispitivanja na oglednom polju Instituta za krmno bilje u Kruševcu. Zemljište na kome je izveden ogled je slabo kisele reakcije a sadržaj cinka u zemljištu je za lucerku bio u adekvatnom rangu. Folijarna primena cinka (1% cink sulfata (ZnSO4 x 7H2O) je obavljena u podeljenoj aplikaciji. Prosečna energija klijanja je iznosila 78.0% sa velikim variranjem po godinama od 68,5% do 84,8%. Velika ukupna količina padavina u 2005. godini (808 mm), odnosno velika količina padavina u junu, julu i avgustu je dovela do poleganja useva još na početku cvetanja i do kasnije loše oplodnje i prorastanja semenskog otkosa što je uticalo da energija klijanja u toj godini bude znatno niža (68,7%) u odnosu na ostvarenu energiju klijanja u 2006. (84,5%) i 2007. godini (80,8%). Tretman sa cinkom je u proseku ostvario nešto veću energiju klijanja (78,2%) u odnosu na kontrolu (77,7%), ali razlike nisu i statistički opravdane. Energija klijanja je pokazala jaku negativnu korelacionu zavisnost sa ukupnom količinom padavina i količinom padavina u junu, julu i avgustu a srednju negativnu korelaciju sa brojem kišnih dana. Najveći udeo tvrdih semena ustanovljen je u sušnoj i toploj godini (6,2%), a najmanji u godini sa dosta padavina (5,1%). Đubrenje cinkom nije imalo uticaja na broj tvrdih zrna.

AB  - This paper presents the germination three cultivars of alfalfa using different concentrations of PEG-6000 (Polyethylene glycol) and control. The aim of this study was to determine the tolerance of alfalfa under drought stress effects and the choice of optimal testing methods. Seed germination and establish the presence of hard seed alfalfa was done by the standard method without pretreatment and with pretreatment. Readout germination of alfalfa seeds was done after ten days, according to the Rules for testing seed quality of agricultural products. The concentration of PEG of 0.4 MPa has proven to be optimal for assessing the seed germination of alfalfa. The alfalfa cultivars have behaved differently towards different concentrations on PEG, indicating the possibility of correct selection of alfalfa cultivars for autumn sowing period (September) after seed harvest in August.
AB  - Lucerka je najvažnija višegodišnja i višeotkosna krmna biljka, koja daje visoke prinose i odličan kvalitet krme u različitim ekološkim uslovima. Gajena u kombinovanoj proizvodnji (seme/krma) tokom višegodišnjeg korišćenja veoma je varijabilna prema visini prinosa semena (CV = 29,4% do 47,5%) dok je prema visini prinosa krme sa nižom varijabilnšću (CV=17,1% do 25,7%), i najmanjom varijabilnošću za kvalitet semena (klijavost CV=5,4% do 6,4%). U radu je prikazana klijavost tri sorte lucerke primenom različitih koncentracija PEG-6000 (Polyethylene glycol) i kontrole. Cilj ovog rada je utvrđivanje tolerantnosti lucerke prema efektu stresa na sušu i izbor najoptimalnije metode ispitivanja. Ispitivanje klijavosti i utvrđivanje prisustva tvrdih semena lucerke rađeno je standardnom metodom bez predtretmana i sa predtretmanom. Očitavanje klijavosti semena lucerke urađeno je nakon deset dana, prema pravilniku za ispitivanje kvaliteta semena poljoprivrednog bilja. Koncentracija PEG-a od 0,4 Mpa pokazala se optimalnom za ocenu klijavosti semena lucerke. Sorte lucerke su se različito ponašale prema različitim koncentracijama na PEG, što ukazuje na mogućnost pravilnog izbora sorti lucerke za jesenji setveni rok (septembar) nakon žetve semena u avgustu mesecu. Sorte lucerketolerantnije na PEG u jesenjem setvenom roku, kada je i najčešće uspešnije za zasnivanje lucerišta. Ove sorte bi bile pogodne i za prema stresu na sušu.

abstract = "This paper presents the germination three cultivars of alfalfa using different concentrations of PEG-6000 (Polyethylene glycol) and control. The aim of this study was to determine the tolerance of alfalfa under drought stress effects and the choice of optimal testing methods. Seed germination and establish the presence of hard seed alfalfa was done by the standard method without pretreatment and with pretreatment. Readout germination of alfalfa seeds was done after ten days, according to the Rules for testing seed quality of agricultural products. The concentration of PEG of 0.4 MPa has proven to be optimal for assessing the seed germination of alfalfa. The alfalfa cultivars have behaved differently towards different concentrations on PEG, indicating the possibility of correct selection of alfalfa cultivars for autumn sowing period (September) after seed harvest in August., Lucerka je najvažnija višegodišnja i višeotkosna krmna biljka, koja daje visoke prinose i odličan kvalitet krme u različitim ekološkim uslovima. Gajena u kombinovanoj proizvodnji (seme/krma) tokom višegodišnjeg korišćenja veoma je varijabilna prema visini prinosa semena (CV = 29,4% do 47,5%) dok je prema visini prinosa krme sa nižom varijabilnšću (CV=17,1% do 25,7%), i najmanjom varijabilnošću za kvalitet semena (klijavost CV=5,4% do 6,4%). U radu je prikazana klijavost tri sorte lucerke primenom različitih koncentracija PEG-6000 (Polyethylene glycol) i kontrole. Cilj ovog rada je utvrđivanje tolerantnosti lucerke prema efektu stresa na sušu i izbor najoptimalnije metode ispitivanja. Ispitivanje klijavosti i utvrđivanje prisustva tvrdih semena lucerke rađeno je standardnom metodom bez predtretmana i sa predtretmanom. Očitavanje klijavosti semena lucerke urađeno je nakon deset dana, prema pravilniku za ispitivanje kvaliteta semena poljoprivrednog bilja. Koncentracija PEG-a od 0,4 Mpa pokazala se optimalnom za ocenu klijavosti semena lucerke. Sorte lucerke su se različito ponašale prema različitim koncentracijama na PEG, što ukazuje na mogućnost pravilnog izbora sorti lucerke za jesenji setveni rok (septembar) nakon žetve semena u avgustu mesecu. Sorte lucerketolerantnije na PEG u jesenjem setvenom roku, kada je i najčešće uspešnije za zasnivanje lucerišta. Ove sorte bi bile pogodne i za prema stresu na sušu.",
