AB  - The paper presents the results of three - year tests (I, II, III) of finishing alfalfa seed of three different purities. Natural alfalfa seeds were classified into three groups: 1) without the presence of quarantine weeds; 2) with the presence of quarantine weeds of Cuscuta spp. and Rumex spp., but in smaller quantities; 3) in which there were also quarantine weeds in larger quantities. The alfalfa seeds were cleaned on a selector with sieves and on a magnetic separator manufactured by Emceka-Gompper. Depending on the purity of natural alfalfa seed, the finishing process had to take place in one to three passes through a system of machines, which caused different finishing output and losses of finishing processed alfalfa seed (9.2 to 38.0%). After finishing, the highest quality of processed seeds was from the group with the highest quarantine weeds (group 3), which was reflected in the lowest percentage of hard seeds (16%) and the highest percentage of germination (83%) in all years. This is also shown by a highly significant negative correlation between germination and hard seed (r=-430) after three years of seed processing.

AB  - This study was undertaken to determine the relationship between CNCPS (Cornell Net Carbohydrate and Protein System) protein
fractions and in vitro RUP (Rumen Undegradable Protein) concentration and the variability of protein fractions among alfalfa cultivars
grown in Serbia. Two cultivars of alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) - Serbian cv K 28 and American cv G + 13R + CZ were sampled at three
stages of maturity. Comparing the two cultivars of alfalfa (K 28 vs. G + 13R + CZ) means, there were significant differences in all
protein fractions. Two investigated alfalfa cultivars differed significantly (p< 0.01) in RUP content, cv G + 13R + CZ was higher in RUP
than cv K 28. Stage of maturity had an effect on proportions of the protein fractions. From a nutritional and breeding point of view,
cultivar such as G + 13R + CZ is desirable because it combine higher CP (Crude protein) values with lower protein degradability than

The influence of impurities in natural seeds of alfalfa and red clover on the seed cleaning process

AB  - The paper presents the results of the cleaning process of five different lots of natural alfalfa seeds and five different lots of natural red clover seeds. Natural alfalfa and red clover seeds had 75 % to 77 % purity. The experiment was performed in the seed processing center of the Institute for Forage Crops Kruševac. Seed cleaning is performed on different machines that work on the principle of differences in the physical properties of seeds. Significant parameters that define the quality of seeds after processing on the cleaning equipment are the amount of pure seed, weed seed, the seed of other crops, inert matter, amount of pure processed seed, seed losses and processing output. The obtained results enable the correct adjustment of the equipment for the seed processing, depending on the amount and type of weeds and other impurities found in the natural seed of alfalfa and red clover.

AB  - This paper presents the results of the seed processing of ten lots of natural alfalfa
seed with different purity (from 68.0% to 86.5%). The test was carried out at the
seed processing center of the Institute for forage crops Kruševac-Serbia. Seed
losses, processing output, seed yield and quality of the processed seed were
investigated. It is important that the difference between the amounts of pure seed
from laboratory assessment and the actual amount after processing, are low. The
purity of natural alfalfa seed depends on the crop condition and the harvest process.
In the seed processing of small-grained leguminous plants, the processing output of
seed is directly dependent on the percentage of weed species and other species in
the natural seed. Seeds of quarantine weeds of dodder and curly dock are a
particularly big problem in alfalfa seeds. In the case of high-purity seeds with low
quarantine weeds share, processing output are high. By the legal procedure on the
seed quality, the content of pure seed, inert materials, weeds and other species in
the processed seeds is defined. The efficiency of the alfalfa seed processing
depends on the initial purity of the seed, as well as the applied technical and
technological process of seed processing. Based on the obtained results, it is
possible to optimally adjust and select the appropriate equipment for the processing
of alfalfa seed, depending on the quantity and type of weeds and other ingredients
in the natural alfalfa seeds.

Effect of seed storage on seed germination and seedling quality of Festulolium in comparison with related forage grasses

AB  - Tests of seed germination, seed dormancy and seedling growth were performed on 0-, 6-, 20- and 30-months-old seed lots of Festulolium in comparison with Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum) and meadow fescue (Festuca pratensis). Tests were performed on seeds harvested in 2 different years (2014 and 2015) resulting in no major difference between the years. Seed storage affected seed viability and dormancy and seedling growth in all 3 grasses. The maximum germination of Festulolium seeds was achieved 6 months after harvest (95% normal seedlings); germination decreased significantly thereafter. While maximum germination of L. multiflorum and F. pratensis seeds was also achieved following storage for 6 months, these germination rates (93 and 90%, respectively) were retained until at least 20 months in storage. After storage for 30 months, seed germination of Festulolium, L. multiflorum and F. pratensis had declined to 72, 79 and 83%, respectively. High germination in all species was associated with higher rates of seedling growth. In an artificial seed ageing test, a temperature of 41 °C (during 48 and 72 hours) was found to effectively rank seed lots for germination performance in all 3 grasses. This test seems to have application for use in the seed trade to identify seed lots which could deteriorate more rapidly in storage. Further studies are needed to verify this hypothesis.

AB  - U radu je prikazana analiza procesa čišćenja tri partije semena lucerke na mašinama za doradu. Ispitivan je uticaj kvaliteta naturalnog semena lucerke na gubitke i dobijenu količinu dorađenog semena. Takođe je prikazan i kvalitet semena lucerke tokom procesa dorade. U procesu čišćenja semena lucerke količina dobijenog semena i gubici semena zavise od početne čistoće semena, kao i od primenjene tehnologije. Propusti prilikom procesa dorade semena lucerke mogu da dovedu do velikih gubitaka semena, to jest do ekonomskih gubitaka. Procesom dorade potrebno je dobiti što veću količinu čistog semena bez prisustva korova, a naročito bez karantinskih korova kao što su vilina kosica i štavelj. Seme koje se koristi za setvu mora da bude čisto, bez primesa i korova, visoke klijavosti i genetske vrednosti. Eksperiment je obavljen u doradnom centru Instituta za krmno bilje u Kruševcu. Dorađivane su tri partije naturalnog semena lucerke. Seme je dorađivano na mašini za fino čišćenje tip Alfa-4, danskog proizvođača Damas i na magnetnoj mašini, nemačkog proizvođača Emceka Gompper, tip IV. U radu su prikazani svi relevantni parametri za proces dorade semena: čisto seme (%), seme korova i seme drugih kultura (%), inertne materije (%), masa dorađenog semena (kg), gubici semena (%) i randman dorade (%). Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata moguće je da se izvrši analiza procesa dorade semena lucerke na mašinama za doradu i njihovo pravilno podešavanje pri procesu dorade. Podešavanje mašina vrši se u zavisnosti od količine i vrste korova, kao i ostalih primesa koje se nalaze u naturalnom semenu.

Prikazani su svi relevantni parametri koji definišu karakteristike mašina za doradu semena, a to su: čisto seme (%), seme korova i seme drugih kultura (%), inertne materije (%), količina dorađenog semena (kg), gubici semena (%) i randman dorade (%).Dobijeni rezultati omogućavaju izbor odgovarajućih mašina i njihovo pravilno podešavanje pri doradi semena, u zavisnosti od količine i vrste korova i ostalih primesa koje se nalaze u naturalnom semenu.

AB  - The paper presents the results of the seed processing of the natural red clover (Trifolium pratense L.) seed with different initial purity in the seed processing center in the Institute for forage crops in Kruševac. Seeds of red clover for sowing must be clean, with high germination and high genetic value. Most of these requirements can be achieved through the seed processing, by the removal of impurities and seeds of poorer quality. In this process, there are number of technical-technological operations such as: cleaning, declarations, packaging in appropriate wrapping material and storage. The task of cleansing seeds is to remove all other seeds, weeds, impurities and extracts pure seed of the basic culture. In this way, the seed is prepared in a timely manner for good germination, sprouting, and cropping. During the processing of the red clover seeds, the relevant parameters on the equipment were determined: pure seed (%), weeds and seed of other cultures (%), inert matter (%), amount of processed seed (kg), seed losses (%) and processing output of the seed processing (%). The losses of red clover seeds in seed processing are in direct dependence on the type and quantity of weeds and other impurities present in the natural seed. On the basis of the obtained results, it is possible to optimally adjust and select the appropriate equipment for the red clover processing, depending on the quantity and type of weeds and other ingredients in the natural red clover seeds.
AB  - Rad prikazuje rezultate ispitivanja pri doradi naturalnog semena crvene deteline (Trifolium pratense L.) različitih početnih čistoća u doradnom centru Instituta za krmno bilje u Kruševcu. Seme crvene deteline za setvu mora biti čisto, visoke klijavosti i genetske vrednosti. Najveći deo ovih zahteva je moguće ostvariti kroz doradu, odnosno odstranjivanjem nečistoća i semena lošijeg kvaliteta. Pri procesu dorade semena crvene deteline postoji veći broj tehničko-tehnoloških operacija kao što su: čišćenje, deklarisanje, pakovanje u odgovarajuću ambalažu i skladištenje. Zadatak čišćenja semena je da se iz naturalnog semena sa primesama odstrane sva semena drugih kultura, korovi, primese i izdvoji samo čisto seme osnovne kulture. Ovakvim načinom seme se blagovremeno priprema u povoljno stanje za kvalitetnu setvu, klijanje i nicanje. Relevantni parametri na mašinama za doradu određivani su pri procesu dorade semena crvene deteline. Određivani su sledeći parametri: čisto seme crvene deteline (%), seme korova i seme drugih kultura (%), inertne materije (%), količina dorađenog semena (kg), gubici semena (%) i randman dorade (%). Kod dorade semena crvene deteline gubici su u direktnoj zavisnosti od vrste i količine korova i ostalih nečistoća prisutnih u naturalnom semenu deteline, odnosno početne čistoće. Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata ispitivanja moguće je izvršiti kvalitetno podešavanje i izbor odgovarajućih mašina za doradu semena crvene deteline, u zavisnosti od količine i vrste korova i primesa u naturalnom semenu crvene deteline.

AB  - Switchgrass (Panicum virgatum L.) originates from North America as one of the species found in the highland prairie. As an energy crop, it has great potential and is widely used in developed countries. It can be used for erosion prevention (due to a strong root system), bird feeding, and landscape architectural purposes (as an ornamental species). In low-quality soils, switchgrass provides protection against erosion and grass cover for grazing. In this paper, we examined the biomass quality of 14 genotypes of switchgrass for animal feed. The cutting of switchgrass was performed on the same day, including all the genotypes examined (mostly in the pre-flowering stage, or at the beginning of flowering). The following parameters of switchgrass biomass quality were analysed: crude protein, crude cellulose, fat content, ash content, NFE, ADF and NDF. In Serbia, this species can be a component of grass mixtures used in lesser quality soils and under dry agroecological conditions.
AB  - Vrsta Panicum virgatum L. (engleski - switchgrass) potiče iz Severne Amerike gde je široko rasprostranjena i jedna je od dominantnih vrsta u visokotravnoj preriji. Prirodna oblast prostiranja ove vrste je od 55o Severne geografske širine pa sve do centalnog Meksika, što znači da je prilagođena na širok raspon zemljišnih i kimatskih uslova. Kao energetski usev, ispoljila je veliki potencijal i uveliko se koristi kako u Americi, tako i u razvijenim zemljama Evrope. Može se koristiti u zaštiti od erozije zbog jakog korenovog sistema. Koristi se u pejzažnoj arhitekturi kao dekorativna vrsta, dok se seme koristi za ishranu ptica. Pošto dobro uspeva i na zemljištima slabijeg kvaliteta, može se koristiti i za ispašu naročito na nepristupačnim, kamenitim i peskovitim terenima gde ima dvojaku ulogu: kao zaštita od erozije i kao travni pokrivač za ispašu. U Americi se koristi za zasnivanje višekomponentnih sejanih pašnjaka zbog sposobnosti proizvodnje zelene mase tokom toplih letnjih meseci kada su ostale travne komponente u smeši malo ili nimalo produktivne. U srpskom jeziku ne postoji poseban naziv za ovu vrstu. Grupa autora je predložila naziv 'prerijsko proso' kao srpski prevod za englesku reč 'switchgrass' (Janković et al., 2017). U Institutu za krmno bilje postoji kolekcija energetskih vrsta trava poreklom iz SAD. U ovom radu je ispitivan kvalitet biomase četrnaest genotipova vrste Panicum virgatum. Košenje je izvršeno u jednom roku, kada su svi genotipovi bili u fazi pred klasanje ili na početku klasanja. Uzorci za ispitivanje kvaliteta uzeti su odmah posle košenja. Ispitivani su parametri kvaliteta biomase: sirovi proteini, sirova celuloza, sadržaj masti, sadržaj pepela, BEM, ADF i NDF. U našoj zemlji ova vrsta može biti jedna od komponenti u travnim smešama na zemljištima slabijeg kvaliteta i za sušne agroekološke uslove. Naravno, potrebna su dalja laboratorijska i poljska ispitivanja u našim uslovima.

abstract = "Switchgrass (Panicum virgatum L.) originates from North America as one of the species found in the highland prairie. As an energy crop, it has great potential and is widely used in developed countries. It can be used for erosion prevention (due to a strong root system), bird feeding, and landscape architectural purposes (as an ornamental species). In low-quality soils, switchgrass provides protection against erosion and grass cover for grazing. In this paper, we examined the biomass quality of 14 genotypes of switchgrass for animal feed. The cutting of switchgrass was performed on the same day, including all the genotypes examined (mostly in the pre-flowering stage, or at the beginning of flowering). The following parameters of switchgrass biomass quality were analysed: crude protein, crude cellulose, fat content, ash content, NFE, ADF and NDF. In Serbia, this species can be a component of grass mixtures used in lesser quality soils and under dry agroecological conditions., Vrsta Panicum virgatum L. (engleski - switchgrass) potiče iz Severne Amerike gde je široko rasprostranjena i jedna je od dominantnih vrsta u visokotravnoj preriji. Prirodna oblast prostiranja ove vrste je od 55o Severne geografske širine pa sve do centalnog Meksika, što znači da je prilagođena na širok raspon zemljišnih i kimatskih uslova. Kao energetski usev, ispoljila je veliki potencijal i uveliko se koristi kako u Americi, tako i u razvijenim zemljama Evrope. Može se koristiti u zaštiti od erozije zbog jakog korenovog sistema. Koristi se u pejzažnoj arhitekturi kao dekorativna vrsta, dok se seme koristi za ishranu ptica. Pošto dobro uspeva i na zemljištima slabijeg kvaliteta, može se koristiti i za ispašu naročito na nepristupačnim, kamenitim i peskovitim terenima gde ima dvojaku ulogu: kao zaštita od erozije i kao travni pokrivač za ispašu. U Americi se koristi za zasnivanje višekomponentnih sejanih pašnjaka zbog sposobnosti proizvodnje zelene mase tokom toplih letnjih meseci kada su ostale travne komponente u smeši malo ili nimalo produktivne. U srpskom jeziku ne postoji poseban naziv za ovu vrstu. Grupa autora je predložila naziv 'prerijsko proso' kao srpski prevod za englesku reč 'switchgrass' (Janković et al., 2017). U Institutu za krmno bilje postoji kolekcija energetskih vrsta trava poreklom iz SAD. U ovom radu je ispitivan kvalitet biomase četrnaest genotipova vrste Panicum virgatum. Košenje je izvršeno u jednom roku, kada su svi genotipovi bili u fazi pred klasanje ili na početku klasanja. Uzorci za ispitivanje kvaliteta uzeti su odmah posle košenja. Ispitivani su parametri kvaliteta biomase: sirovi proteini, sirova celuloza, sadržaj masti, sadržaj pepela, BEM, ADF i NDF. U našoj zemlji ova vrsta može biti jedna od komponenti u travnim smešama na zemljištima slabijeg kvaliteta i za sušne agroekološke uslove. Naravno, potrebna su dalja laboratorijska i poljska ispitivanja u našim uslovima.",

Performance testing of field crop sprayers in the Rasina district

AB  - In agricultural production, pests and diseases of agricultural crops, as well as weed plants, cause significant losses in the yield and quality of agricultural products. One of the most effective ways of fighting is the use of a wide range of chemicals called pesticides. In accordance with the EU Directives 2009/128/EC and 2006/42/EC underlying the standard EN 13790, the Plant Protection Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Environment of the Republic of Serbia has established a framework for the control of sprayers and mist blowers. Maintaining sprayers for pesticide application in a good state of repair and proper working order reduces their harmful effects on human health and the environment. The nozzle is one of the most important parts of plant protection machines, responsible for the following major functions: delivery of a given amount of liquid in a unit of time, dispersion of the liquid by making droplets of different sizes and forming a stream of a particular shape. Testing of the working safety of sprayers and nozzles was carried out in accordance with the European Standard EN 13790 which specifies the methods and equipment for inspection. The flow rate of nozzles was measured by an S001 nozzle tester (AAMS-Salvarani, Belgium). The measuring equipment used for testing the pesticide application device can accurately determine any deviation and irregularity in the application.
AB  - U poljoprivrednoj proizvodnji, štetočine i bolesti poljoprivrednih kultura, kao i korovske biljke svake godine prouzrokuju značajne gubitke u prinosu i kvalitetu poljoprivrednih proizvoda. Jedan od najefikasnijih načina borbe jeste primena brojnih i različitih hemijskih sredstava, koja se nazivaju opštim nazivom pesticidi. U skladu sa Direktivama Evropskog parlamenta 2009/128/EC i 2006/42/EC, kojima je osnova standard EN 13790, koji propisuje obavezni pregled mašina za zaštitu bilja, Uprava za zaštitu bilja Ministarstva poljoprivrede i životne sredine Republike Srbije uspostavlja okvir za kontrolu sistema prskalica i orošivača. Upotrebom tehnički ispravnih i kontrolisanih ratarskih prskalica za primenu pesticida smanjuje se njihov štetni uticaj na zdravlje ljudi i životnu okolinu. Jedan od najznačajnijih delova mašina za zaštitu bilja predstavljaju rasprskivači. Oni obavljaju najvažnije funkcije, kao što su: propuštaju zadate količine tečnosti u jedinici vremena, raspršuju tečnost praveći kapljice odgovarajućih veličina i formiraju mlaz odgovarajućeg oblika. Testiranje radne ispravnosti prskalice i rasprskivača vršeno je u skladu sa evropskim normativom EN 13790, koji propisuje metode i opremu kojom se obavlja inspekcija. Protok rasprskivača je meren pomoću ispitivača pojedinačnih rasprskivača S001 belgijskog proizvođača 'AAMS-Salvarani'. Primenom merne opreme za ispitivanje ispravnosti rada uređaja za primenu pesticida, merenjem je moguće tačno ustanoviti svako odstupanje i nepravilnost u radu. Dobijeni rezultati ukazuju na to da postoje značajna odstupanja ispitivanih parametara.

AB  - Komponente prinosa devet sorti krompira ispitivane su tokom 2008. i 2009. godine na lokaciji zapadne Srbije u selu Badovinci (75 m nadmorska visina, 44˚ 80' 05'N, 19˚ 35' 39'E). Za istraživanje korišćene su sledeće sorte krompira: rane (Cleopatra, Anushka i Presto), srednje rane (Kuroda, Omega i Dita) i srednje kasne (Desiree, Roko i Jelly). Sadnja je izvedena u prvoj dekadi aprila. Međuredno rastojanje bilo je 0,70 m a između biljaka u redu 0,30 m. Primenjena je standardna tehnologija gajenja krompira. Broj primarnih nadzemnih izdanaka određen je 65 dana posle sadnje krtola. Vađenje krompira izvršeno je početkom septembra kada je izvršeno i utvrđivanje broja krtola po biljci i ukupan prinos. 18TDobijeni rezultati ukazuju da su sorta (G) i agroekološki uslovi (E) značajno utiču na sve komponente prinosa krompira. U obe godine najveći ukupan prinos krtola zabeležen je kod srednje kasne sorte Desiree18T 18T(18T28,30 t ha־¹), zatim kod rane sorte Anushka 18T(18T26,60 t ha־¹), dok je najniži prinos krtola utvrđen kod srednje rane sorte 18TOmega (18T13,35 t ha־¹). Na osnovu rezultata dvogodišnjih istraživanja uticaja sorte i agroekoloških uslova na komponente prinosa u zapadnoj Srbiji, možemo izvesti sledeće zaključke: - Sorta i uslovi sredine pojedinačno i u interakciji značajno utiču na komponente prinosa18T; Za dobijanje visokih prinosa krtola u uslovima zapadne Srbije možemo preporučiti rane sorte (18TCleopatra, Anushka 18Ti18T P18Tresto18T), posebno u godinama sa malom količinom padavina, kao i srednje kasnu sortu 18T(18TDesiree), koja je pokazala dobru tolerantnost prema visokim temperaturama vazduha i suši.

Na osnovu rezultata dvogodišnjih istraživanja uticaja sorte i agroekoloških uslova na komponente prinosa u zapadnoj Srbiji, možemo izvesti sledeće zaključke: - Sorta i uslovi sredine pojedinačno i u interakciji značajno utiču na komponente prinosa18T; Za dobijanje visokih prinosa krtola u uslovima zapadne Srbije možemo preporučiti rane sorte (18TCleopatra, Anushka 18Ti18T P18Tresto18T), posebno u godinama sa malom količinom padavina, kao i srednje kasnu sortu 18T(18TDesiree), koja je pokazala dobru tolerantnost prema visokim temperaturama vazduha i suši.",

Slightly weaker, but also significant (p  gt = 0.01) impact on improving germination was in case of laser of 890 nm using 2- and 4- minutes of exposure time, and 630-680 nm laser using 4- minutes exposure time in both sowing periods. In the spring sowing, only laser of 632.8 nm using 3- minutes exposure time and laser of 670 nm laser between 2- and 4- minutes exposure time had significant improvement of seed germination. In the autumn sowing, He-Ne lasers (632.8 nm) using 4-minutes exposure time, semiconductor lasers of 670 nm laser using 3- minutes exposure time, and 630-680 nm laser using 3-minutes exposure time, also significantly (p  gt = 0.01) increased seed germination compared to control.

AB  - Alfalfa is the most important perennial forage legume used for seed production and fodder. The seeds of alfalfa for sowing must be of high purity, germination and high genetic value. The initial purity of naturalized alfalfa seed significantly affect the resulting amount of processed seed in processing process. In the processing of natural seed alfalfa seed material to obtain adequate quality by law regulate used a complex machines for cleaning and sorting seeds. In the processing center of the Institute for forage crops in Globoder-Kruševac, Serbia alfalfa natural seed are processed. The six different parties of natural seeds of different purity in the range of 66 % to 85 % were processed. Also, after each stage of treatment, losses of seeds and seed rate obtained at the end of the processing were measured.
AB  - Lucerka je najznačajnija višegodišnja krmna leguminoza koja se osim za krmu koristi i za proizvodnju semena. Seme lucerke za setvu mora biti visoke čistoće, klijavosti, kao i visoke genetske vrednosti. Početna čistoća naturalnog semena lucerke značajno utiče na dobijenu količinu dorađenog semena pri procesu dorade. Takođe utiče i na utrošak energije u procesu dorade, kao i ljudskog rada i količinu otpada. Tokom dorade naturalnog semena lucerke za dobijanje semenskog materijala odgovarajućeg kvaliteta koji je zakonski regulisan koriste se složene mašine za prečišćavanje i sortiranje semena. U doradnom centru Instituta za krmno bilje u Globoderu-Kruševac, Srbija dorađivano je naturalno seme lucerke šest različitih partija čistoće od 66% do 85%. Dorada semena ima zadatak da se seme pripremi za setvu, klijanje i nicanje, kao i čuvanje u skladištima do momenta setve. Dorada se izvodi na više složenih mašina koje rade na različitim principima u sukcesivnom nizu što zavisi od ulazne čistoće semena. Veoma je važno da razlika između količine čistog semena koja se laboratorijski proceni i stvarne količine dobijenog semena na kraju procesa dorade bude što manja. Količina dobijenog semena lucerke i ostalih sitnozrnih kultura pri doradi direktno zavisi od udela korovskih vrsta i ostalih primesa u naturalnom semenu. Seme visoke čistoće, sa malim udelom semena štetnih korova koji otežavaju i poskupljuju proizvodnju, dovodi i do visokog randmana. Efkasna dorade semena lucerke se ostvaruje odgovarajućom kombinacijom mašina za doradu pri čemu se dobija odgovarajući kvalitet i veća količina dorađenog semena u kraćem vremenskom periodu uz što manji utrošak energije.

AB  - In our tests, the seeds were stored for five years at temperatures of 4 °C, 18 °C in a warehouse conditions (factor method of seed storage). Seed was stored at all temperatures in the paper, a cloth and plastic bags (factor package for seed storage). It was used the seed of meadow and tall fescue (factor species). For testing was used the three lots by both species (factor seed lots). At five years old seed germination was determined in accordance with the ISTA rules (on filter paper, and at temperature of 20 °C in the dark). Vigor was determined by measuring each seedling (root length cm, shoot length cm and biomass of seedlings g.). The factor method of seed storage and packaging factor was significantly acted in germination and vigor (P lt 0.05, P lt 0.01), which influenced to meet germination of seeds for placing on the market (germination  gt 75 %). Other examined factors (species and lots) did not have significant effect on seed germination and seedling vigor after five years of storage.
AB  - Livadski vijuk (Festuca pratensis Huds.) je značajna krmna vrsta koja se koristi uglavnom za smeše sa višegodišnjim krmnim leguminozama. Visoki vijuk je (Festuca arundinacea Schreb.) je vrsta koja je veoma srodna livadskom vijuku koja se pored korišćenja sa krmnim leguminozama za proizvodnju kvalitetne krme, koristi i za zasnivanje travnjaka specijalnih namena takođe uglavnom u smeši sa odgovarajućim višegodišnjim leguminozama (parkovi, sportcki tereni, okućnice i sl.). U našim ispitivanjima seme je čuvano pet godina na temperaturama: 4oC, 18oC i u magacinskim uslovima (faktor način čuvanja semena). Seme je na svim temperaturama čuvano u papirnim, platnenim i plastičnim kesama (faktor anbalaža za čuvanje semena). Za ispitivanje je korišćeno seme po tri partije (faktor partija semena) od ispitivanih vrsta: livadckog, i visokog vijuka (faktot vrsta). Faktori način čuvanja semena, anbalaža u kojoj je seme čuvano i, vrsta kao i nihove interakcije su delovali značajno na klijavost i vigor klijanaca (P≤ 0,05, P≤ 0,01) što je i uticalo na zadovoljenje klijavosti za stavljanje semena u promet (klijavost  gt 75%). Ostali, ispitivani faktor (partija) nije imao značajnog uticaja na klijavost semena i vigor klijanaca nakon pet godina čuvanja.

AB  - Owing to its characteristics, alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) is important for the production of high-quality fodder. Its seed yields vary widely and are heavily influenced by environmental factors. The synchronization of alfalfa seed harvest requirements with environmental factors is partially possible through the cutting system. The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of a cutting schedule on the germination and size of alfalfa seeds. The pre-cutting time did not significantly affect the absolute mass within a 1 pre-cut system, whereas the number of pre-cuts had a reducing impact on the absolute mass within a 2 pre-cut system. The cutting system had no significant effects on seed germination. While the ecological conditions during the year had significant impacts, the lowest seed germination was recorded in the year with the highest rainfall during the summer period.
AB  - Plava lucerka (Medicago sativa L.) je zbog svih svojih osobina značajna u proizvodnji kvalitetne kabaste hrane. Prinosi semena u Srbiji jako variraju u zavisnosti od godine i kreću se, od onih koji ne opravdavaju troškove žetve, do preko 1000 kg ha-1, dok se u glavnim proizvodnim reonima u svetu beleže stabilniji prinosi. Različitim vremenom kosidbe predotkosa moguće je delimično upravljati vremenom cvetanja semenskog otkosa i na taj način uticati na sinhronizaciju cvetanja i oprašivanja, formiranja mahuna, sazrevanja i žetve sa periodom godine kada postoje najpovoljniji uslovi za to. Cilj ovih istraživanja je da se u poljskim uslovima ispita uticaj vremena kosidbe na klijavost i krupnoću semena lucerke. Praćeni su uticaji različitih rokova kosidbe prvog predotkosa u proizvodnji semena iz drugog otkosa i uticaj dva predotkosa u proizvodnji semena iz trećeg otkosa. Posmatrano zajedno u trogodišnjem periodu ostvarena je prosečno masa 1000 semena od 1,92 g, a apsolutna masa se kretala u intervalu od 1,75 g do 2,07 g. Sistem kosidbe nije imao značajan uticaja na klijavost semena. Ekološki uslovi u toku godine imali su značajan utiacaj na klijavost i najmanja klijavost je ostavrena u godini sa najviše padavina u letnjem periodu. Prosečna klijavost je iznosila 82,11%, sa variranjem od 71,50% do 88,40%.

While the ecological conditions during the year had significant impacts, the lowest seed germination was recorded in the year with the highest rainfall during the summer period., Plava lucerka (Medicago sativa L.) je zbog svih svojih osobina značajna u proizvodnji kvalitetne kabaste hrane. Prinosi semena u Srbiji jako variraju u zavisnosti od godine i kreću se, od onih koji ne opravdavaju troškove žetve, do preko 1000 kg ha-1, dok se u glavnim proizvodnim reonima u svetu beleže stabilniji prinosi. Različitim vremenom kosidbe predotkosa moguće je delimično upravljati vremenom cvetanja semenskog otkosa i na taj način uticati na sinhronizaciju cvetanja i oprašivanja, formiranja mahuna, sazrevanja i žetve sa periodom godine kada postoje najpovoljniji uslovi za to. Cilj ovih istraživanja je da se u poljskim uslovima ispita uticaj vremena kosidbe na klijavost i krupnoću semena lucerke. Praćeni su uticaji različitih rokova kosidbe prvog predotkosa u proizvodnji semena iz drugog otkosa i uticaj dva predotkosa u proizvodnji semena iz trećeg otkosa. There has not been a systematic research of vetch mycoflora in Serbia. This research aims to present the results of preliminary research of mycopopulation of 15 different genotypes of vetch. Total of 600 plant parts has been examined and 9 genera of fungi were isola­ted: Fusarium, Phythophthora, Rhizoctonia, Phoma, Verticillium, Alternaria, Sclerotinia, Botrytis and Ascochyta. On the plants from which the fungi were isolated, there were ma­croscopically clearly visible symptoms of infection.
AB  - Grahorica (Vicia sativa L.) je jednogodišnja biljka iz porodice mahunarki (Fabaceae). Potiče iz umerenog klimatskog pojasa Evrope i Azije. Ima posebno mesto u obezbeđenju kabaste stočne hrane (krme) u zoni umerenog klimata. Pripada visokokvalitetnim proteinskim krmnim biljkama. Sistematskih istraživanja mikoflore grahorice u Srbiji do sada nije bilo. U ovome radu iznosimo rezultate preliminarnih istraživanja mikopopulacije 15 različitih genotipova grahorice. Ukupno je pregledano 600 biljnih delova sa kojih je izolovano 9 rodova gljiva: Fusarium, Phythophthora, Rhizoctonia, Phoma, Verticillium, Alternaria, Sclerotinia, Botrytis i Ascochyta. AB  - The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of foliar application of molybdenum on the germination energy and share of hard alfalfa seeds. Climatic conditions during the year had the greatest impact on the germination energy and share of hard seeds. Energy of germination was influenced by climatic conditions during the development of crops, ranging from 68.5 % to 84.1 %. Minimum germination energy was generated in the year with the most rainfall during seed formation, and the highest germination energy was achieved in the year with less rainfall during seed formation. The share of hard seeds ranged from 5.1 % to 6.7 %. Treatments with molybdenum in our research did not realize the difference in the germination energy and share of hard seeds that is statistically justified in any year of study.
AB  - Molibden je veoma važan u simbiotskoj fiksaciji azota i lucerka spada u grupu biljaka koja je osetljiva na nedostatak molibdena. U trogodišnjem periodu obavljena su ispitivanja na oglednom polju Instituta za krmno bilje u Kruševcu. Cilj ovih istraživanja bio je ispitati uticaj folijarne primene molibdena na energiju klijanja semena lucerke i udeo trvdih semena. Folijarana prihrana molibdenom (0,1% amonijum molibdata (NH4)6 Mo7O4 x 4H2O je obavljena preko dve aplikacije (prva aplikacija je obavljena u fazi intezivnog porasta, a druga aplikacija u fazi butonizacije i početka cvetanja useva) sa količinom vode 1000 l ha-1. Energija klijanja je bila pod uticajem klimatskih uslova u toku razvoja useva i kretala se od 68,5% do 84,1%. Najmanja energija klijanja je ostvarena u godini sa najviše padavina u periodu formiranja semena. Energija klijanja se razlikuje po godinama ali je prosečna energija klijanja na kontrolni i varijatni tretiranoj molibdenom ujedančena. Udeo tvrdih semena se kretao od 5,1% do 6,7%. Najmanji udeo tvrdih semena je ostvaren u godini sa najviše padavina u letnjem peridu a najveći u godini sa manje padavina u periodu formiranja semena. Prosečni udeo tvrdih semena na kontrolnoj i tretiranoj varijanti nije ostvario značajne razlike. Tretmani sa molibdenom u našim istraživanjima nisu ostvarili razliku u energiji klijanja i udelu tvrdih semena koja je i statistički opravdana ni u jednoj godini ispitivanja.

AB  - The work was carried out analysis of the impact of the initial purity of raw alfalfa seed on the resulting amount of processed seed in the processing. Alfalfa is very important perennial forage legume which is used for fodder and seed production. Alfalfa seed is possible to achieve high yields and very good financial effects. To obtain the seed material with good characteristics complex machines for cleaning and sorting seeds are used. In the processing center of the Institute for forage crops in Kruševac, alfalfa seed with different initial purity are processed. It is very important that the difference between the amounts of pure seed from laboratory assessment and the actual amount after processing, are low. The six parties of natural seeds of different purity in the range of 74 % to 77.1 % were processed. Also, after each stage of treatment, losses of seeds were measured and seed rate obtained at the end of the processing.
AB  - U radu je obavljena analiza uticaja početne čistoće naturalnog semena lucerke na dobijenu količinu dorađenog semena pri procesu dorade. Lucerka je veoma značajna višegodišnja krmna leguminoza koja se osim za krmu koristi i za proizvodnju semena. Gajenjem lucerke za seme, uz odgovarajuću tehnologiju moguće je ostvariti visoke prinose i veoma dobre finansijske efekte jer je seme lucerke kurentna roba na tržištu. U doradnom centru Instituta za krmno bilje u Kruševcu dorađivano je naturalno seme lucerke različitih početnih čistoća. Zadatak dorade je da se seme pripremi za setvu, klijanje i nicanje, kao i čuvanje u skladištima do momenta setve. Proces dorade se izvodi na više mašina za doradu, što podrazumeva različite postupke koji se odvijaju u sukcesivnom nizu što zavisi od ulazne čistoće semena. Pri doradi semena lucerke veoma je važno da razlika između količine čistog semena koja se laboratorijski proceni i stvarne količine dobijenog semena u pogonu za dorado bude što manja. U procesu dorade semena sitnozrnih leguminoza, visina randmana semena direktno zavisi od procenta korovskih vrsta i ostalih primesa u naturalnom semenu. Seme visoke čistoće, sa malim procentom štetnih korova koji otežavaju i poskupljuju proizvodnju, dovodi i do visokog randmana. Pri doradi semena lucerke naturalna čistoća semena zavisi od stanja useva i procesa žetve. Dorađivano je šest partija naturalnog semena različite čistoće u intervalu od 74% do 77,1%. Takođe su, posle svake etape dorade, određivani gubici semena, kao i dobijena količina semena na kraju procesa dorade.

AB  - Tall fescue (Festuca arundinacea Schreb.), red fescue (Festuca rubra L.) and cocksfoot (Dactylis glomerata L.) are important fodder grasses, but in seed production, they are prone to seed shedding and certain yield losses. In practice, seeds are usually harvested at approximately 20-35% moisture content and then are additionally dried to the moisture content of 12% or lower. However, to prevent shedding, seed was harvested at 45% moisture content. The effects of drying temperatures of 70, 60, 50, 40, 30 and 22 degrees C on germination and dormancy of tall fescue, red fescue, cocksfoot seeds, harvested at moisture contents of 45, 35 and 25 %, were observed in the present study. The analysis was done immediately upon seed drying, then three, eight and fourteen months later, which corresponds to the autumn and spring sowing time in the continental part of central and south-eastern Europe. In all the three species, drying temperature of 70 degrees C, regardless of the moisture content, and 60 degrees C in the combination with a seed moisture content of 45%, reduced germination. After three months, the highest germination was detected in tall fescue harvested at seed moisture of 25% and dried at 50 degrees C. Furthermore, the greatest germination in red fescue and cocksfoot was determined in seeds harvested with the moisture content of 35% and dried at 50 degrees C. After eight months, the highest germination in tall and red fescue were determined in seeds harvested with the moisture content of 25% and dried at 40-50 degrees C, while corresponding values in cocksfoot amounted to 25% and 22-30 degrees C, respectively. A positive and significant correlation was established between seed germination and seedling vigour.

AB  - This paper presents the results of seven varieties of different species of wheat (Triticum spelta L. - Nirvana; Planeta, Cipovka, Aleksandra, Srma, Janja - Triticum aestivum L. emend. Fiori et P.; Verona - Triticum aestivum L. ssp. Compactum) for achieving seed yield and threshing. During the testing of each variety were determined by the following qualitative characteristics: 1000 kernel weight, test weight and germination. It also was determined vigor of seedlings. The experiment was conducted during 2012. and 2013. in the area Globoder of the city of Krusevac. Factor year had a significant effect on seed yield and total germination. Factor cultivar significantly affected the threshing: yield, test weight, 1000-seed weight and germination. The tested factors had no significant effect on seedling vigor.
AB  - U radu su prikazani rezultati ispitivanja sedam sorti različitih vrsta pšenice (Nirvana- Triticum spelta L.; Planeta, Cipovka, Aleksandra, Srma, Janja-Triticum aestivum L. emend. Fiori et Paol; Verona - Triticum aestivum L. ssp. compactum) za postizanje prinosa semena i izvršaj. Pri ispitivanju za svaku sortu određena su sledeća kvalitativna svojstva: masa 1000 zrna, hektolitarska masa i klijavost. Takođe je utvrđivan vigor klijanaca (dužina stabaoceta i korenka, ukupna masa klijanaca). Ogled je izveden tokom 2012. i 2013. godine u ataru naseljenog mesta Globoder na teritoriji grada Kruševca. Faktor godina imao je značajan uticaj na prinos semena i ukupnu klijavost. Faktor sorta značajno je uticao na izvršaj, prinos, hektolitarsku masu, masu 1000 semena i klijavost. AB  - The paper presents research results obtained in the process of processing biodegradable wastes, resulting from agricultural production as well as municipal waste. Aerobic fermenter EWA (stationed within the Institute for Forage Crops Globoder- Kruševac) was using for this purpose, during the one month testing. Biodegradable material with different ratios of components was used for filling aerobic digester. EWA fermenter is certified device that is used to stabilize and hygienic disposal of biodegradable waste, including sewage sludge and animal products produced in accordance with European Union regulations. Fermenter is intended to be used for combustion in boilers for solid fuels with humidity of biomaterials below 30%.
AB  - Rad prikazuje rezultate istraživanja koji su dobijeni pri procesu prerade biološki razgradivog otpada dobijenog iz poljoprivredne proizvodnje, kao i komunalnog otpada primenom aerobnog fermentatora EWA (češke proizvodnje stacioniranog u krugu Instituta za krmno bilje u Globoderu-Kruševcu). U toku jednomesečnog ispitivanja vršeno je punjenje aerobnog fermentatora biološki razgradivim materijalom s različitim odnosom komponenata. EWA fermentator je sertifikovan uređaj koji se koristi za stabilizaciju i higijenizaciju biorazgradivog otpada, uključujući kanalizacioni mulj i proizvode životinjskog porekla proizveden u skladu sa propisima Evropske Unije. Fermentator može da se koristi i za dobijanje biogoriva namenjenog za sagorevanje u kotlovima za čvrsta goriva pri čemu je vlažnost biomaterijala koji se koristi ispod 30%.

Quality properties of wheat seed threshed on mobile thresher 'Ernet' type V-08

AB  - The examination results on threshing ten wheat varieties on the reconstructed mobile thresher 'Ernet' type V-08 in small experimental plots in the village Globoder are presented in this paper. The threshing process is an integral part of the collection of seed wheat and was conducted on experimental plots immediately after the manual mowing of the crops. During the testing the following qualitative characteristics of each variety were determined: seed moisture, weight of 1000 grains, hectoliter mass, germination energy and germination. The thresher's cleaning quality was determined by taking the average sample from the bags in which the seeds were collected after threshing. The samples were taken in the process of threshing wheat in the experimental fields, and then in the laboratory of the Institute for Forage Crops in Globoder-Krusevac clean and broken seed, other varieties, inert matter and weed were subsequently separated for each cultivar. The study aim was to examine the quality of different varieties wheat seed, as well as practical application and evaluation of the operating quality of the reconstructed mobile thresher, 'Ernet' type V-08.
AB  - U radu su prikazani rezultati ispitivanja pri vršidbi deset sorata pšenice na rekonstruisanoj mobilnoj vršalici 'Ernet' tip V-08 na malim oglednim parcelama u ataru sela Globoder. Proces vršidbe je sastavni deo ubiranja semenske pšenice i obavljen je na oglednim parcelama odmah nakon ručnog košenja useva. Pri ispitivanju za svaku sortu određena su sledeća kvalitativna svojstva: vlažnost semena, masa 1000 zrna, hektolitarska masa, energija klijanja i klijavost. Kvalitet čišćenja vršalice određivan je uzimanjem prosečnog uzorka iz kesica u koje je seme prikupljeno nakon vršidbe. Uzorci su uzimani u procesu vršidbe pšenice na oglednim poljima, a zatim u laboratoriji Instituta za krmno bilje u Globoderu-Kruševcu naknadno je za svaku sortu izdvojeno čisto i polomljeno seme, druge vrste, inertne materije i korov. Cilj ispitivanja bio je ispitivanje kvaliteta semena pšenice različitih sorata, kao ipraktičnaprimena i ocena kvaliteta rada vršidbenog uređaja rekonstruisane mobilne vršalice 'Ernet' tip V-08.

Uzorci su uzimani u procesu vršidbe pšenice na oglednim poljima, a zatim u laboratoriji Instituta za krmno bilje u Globoderu-Kruševcu naknadno je za svaku sortu izdvojeno čisto i polomljeno seme, druge vrste, inertne materije i korov. Cilj ispitivanja bio je ispitivanje kvaliteta semena pšenice različitih sorata, kao ipraktičnaprimena i ocena kvaliteta rada vršidbenog uređaja rekonstruisane mobilne vršalice 'Ernet' tip V-08.",
