AB  - Cilj rada je bio da se utvrdi uticaj sorte i tretmana semena na glavne pokazatelje
kvaliteta semena tri sorte paprika (Merak, Ordesa i PWC 15001). Ogled je izveden
2022. godine u Laboratoriji za kontrolu kvaliteta semena i sadnog materijala Instituta za zaštitu bilja i životnu sredinu u Beogradu. Kao materijal u ogledu korišćeno
je seme sorti paprika proizvedeno u 2022. godini. Tretman semena je izveden sa
1% rastvorom natrijum hipohlorida u trajanju od 10 minuta, zatim je ispirano i
osušeno. Ispitivanje klijavosti semena izvršeno je standardnom laboratorijskom
metodom na filter papiru navlaženom 0,2% vodenim rastvorom KNO3
 na 4 x 100
semena. Seme je inkubirano 14 dana na temperaturi 20 - 30ºC i relativnoj vlažnosti vazduha od 95%. Sedmog dana inkubacije ocenjena je energija klijanja, a
14 dana ukupna klijavost. Zdravstvena ispravnost semena ocenjivana je vizuelnom
metodom. Dobijeni rezultati ukazuju da su pojedinačni faktori sorta i tretman
semena značajno uticali (p< 0,01) na energiju klijanja, ukupnu klijavost i procenat
bolesnog semena, dok njihov uticaj na procenat nenormalnog semena nije utvrđen.
Takođe, uticaj interakcije faktora na posmatrane pokazatelje kvaliteta semena je
izostao. Primenjeni tretman na semenu uticao je u proseku na povećanje energije
klijanja i ukupne klijavosti za po 4% kod sve tri ispitivane sorte paprika. Kod sorti
paprika utvrđeno je prisustvo samo patogena Alternaria sp., čija se zastupljenost
kretala od 6 do 9% u varijantama bez tretmana semena (kontrola). Primenom
ovog tretmana kod ispitivanih sorti procenat zaraženog semena Alternaria sp.
se značajno smanjio ispod 5%, što predstavlja zakonski maksimum za stavljanje
semena paprike u promet.
AB  - The aim of the work was to determine the influence of variety and seed treatment
on the main indicators of seed quality of three pepper varieties. The experiment
was carried out in 2022 at the Laboratory for Quality Control of Seeds and Planting
Material of the Institute for Plant Protection and the Environment in Belgrade. As
material in the experiment, seeds of pepper varieties produced in 2022 were used.
The seeds were treated with a 1% sodium hypochlorite solution for 10 minutes, then
rinsed and dried. Seed germination was tested using a standard laboratory method
on filter paper moistened with a 0.2% aqueous solution of KNO3
 on 4 x 100 seeds.
The seeds were incubated for 14 days at a temperature of 20 - 30ºC and a relative
humidity of 95%. On the seventh day of incubation, the energy of germination was
evaluated, and on the 14th, the total germination, that is, the number of typical seedlings. The healthiness of the seeds was assessed by the visual method. The obtained
results indicate that the individual factors of variety and seed treatment significantly
influenced (p< 0.01) the energy of germination, total germination and the percentage
of diseased seeds, while their influence on the percentage of abnormal seeds was
not determined. Also, the influence of the interaction of factors on the observed
indicators of seed quality was absent. The treatment applied to the seeds affected on
increase in the energy of germination and total germination by 4% in all three tested
pepper varieties. In pepper varieties, the presence of only the pathogen Alternaria
sp. was determined, whose prevalence ranged from 6 to 9% in varieties without
seed treatment (control). By applying this treatment to the investigated varieties,
the percentage of infected seeds of Alternaria sp. has significantly decreased below
5%, which is the legal maximum for placing pepper seeds on the market.

Uticaj malčiranja zemljišta na prinos različitih sorti krompira

AB  - Малчирање земљишта различито обојеним полиетиленским фолијама утиче на
количину рефлектоване светлости и температурни режим земљишта, као и на раст и
развој биљака, укључујући принос биљака. Црна полетиленска фолија која ефикасно
апсорбује ултраљубичасто зрачење, видљиве и инфрацрвене таласне дужине сунчевог
зрачења, утиче на повећање температуре земљишта. Насупрот томе, бела
полиетиленска фолија рефлектује светлост и доприноси мањем загревању земљишта.
Експерименти у пољу изведени су ради испитивања ефеката беле и црне
полиетиленске (ПЕ) фолије на производне карактеристике три сорте кромпира: Маrabel
(средње рана), Desiree (средње касна) и Jelly (средње касна) у три узастопне године
(2011–2013). Третмани су организовани у рандомизираном блок систему у четири
понављања са системом за наводњавање, на локацији Земун Поље. Варијанте са белим
и црним пластичним малчем упоређиване су са контролном варијантом (голо
земљиште).
У трогодишњем испитивању, највећи просечан број кртола по биљци (12,3) и укупан
принос кртола (55,74 t/ha) утврђен је код сорте Jelly применом белог пластичног малча,
док је најмањи просечан број кртола (8,8) и укупан принос (41,12 t/ha) утврђен код
сорте Desiree на контролној варијанти. Код сорте Маrabel најмањи просечан укупан
принос постигнут је малчирањем црном ПЕ фолијом (47,12 t/ha). Бела ПЕ фолија
обезбеђује оптималан водно-ваздушни и топлотни режим земљишта током топлијег
дела вегетације и може се препоручити за гајење сорте Jelly у условима Јужног Срема.
Са друге стране, резултати добијени у овом експерименту указују на позитиван утицај
настирања земљишта црном ПЕ фолијом на укупан принос сорте Desiree (47,60 t/ha).
Студија је показала да су испитивани фактори, боја пластичног малча и сорта, значајно
утицали на број кртола и укупан принос кромпира.
AB  - Soil mulching with differently colored polyethylene foils affects the amount of reflected light
and the temperature regime of the soil, as well as the growth and development of plants,
including plant yield. Black polyethylene foil, which effectively absorbs ultraviolet radiation,
visible and infrared wavelengths of solar radiation, affects the increase in soil temperature.
Contrary to that, the white polyethylene foil reflects light and contributes to less soil heating.
Field experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of white and black polyethylene
(PE) foil on productive characteristics of three potato cultivars: Marabel (medium early),
Desiree (medium late) and Jelly (medium late) in three consecutive years (2011–2013).
Treatments were arranged in a randomized block design with four replications with irrigation
drip system, at the site of Zemun Polje. The variants with white and black plastic mulch were
compared to a control plot (bare soil).
In a three-year study, the highest average number of tubers per plant (12.3), and total tuber
yield (55.74 t ha-1
) was determined in cv. Jelly subjected by application of the white plastic
mulch, while the lowest average number of tubers (8.8) and total yield (41.12 t ha-1
) was
determined in the cv. Desiree’s control variant. In the Marabel cultivar, the lowest average
total yield was achieved by mulching with black PE foil (47.12 t ha-1
). White PE foil provides
optimal water-air and heat regime of the soil during the warmer part of the vegetation and can
be recommended for growing the cv. Jelly under agro-ecological conditions of Southern
Srem. On the other hand, the results obtained in this experiment indicate a positive effect of
soil mulching with black PE foil on the total yield of the cultivar Desiree (47.60 t ha-1
). The
study showed that investigated factors, color of plastic mulch and cultivar, significantly
affected the number of tubers and total yield of potato.

Effect of the variety and origin of plants on the production of virus-free potato minitubers in the aeroponic growing system

AB  - The effects of variety and origin of planting material were examined in the aeroponic growing system. The potato cultivars 'Cleopatra', 'Kennebec' and 'Agria' were used for the experimental purposes, originating both in vitro and from minitubers of the previous season's crops. Plants originating from minitubers were found to be simpler and cheaper to prepare for the aeroponic system of cultivation compared to plants obtained in vitro. The first harvest of the 'Cleopatra' minitubers began 43 days after planting in aeroponics, whereas the harvest of the 'Kennebec' and 'Agria' minitubers occurred 20 days later. The 'Cleopatra' cultivar yielded an average of 14.37 minitubers, followed by the 'Kennebec' cultivar and "Agria" cultivar with 16.91 and 19.43 minitubers on average, respectively. In the 'Cleopatra' and 'Kennebec' cultivars, the plant of the in vitro origin had a significantly larger number of tubers per plant than the plants originating from previous vegetation minitubers. In the 'Agria' cultivar, the in vitro created plants had a larger number of minitubers. The average mass of minitubers of all the cultivars under consideration was significantly higher in the plants originating from minitubers. A successive harvest of minitubers allows them to reach the desired size with dominant minitubers weighing over 8 g, which are considered large.

abstract = "The effects of variety and origin of planting material were examined in the aeroponic growing system. The potato cultivars 'Cleopatra', 'Kennebec' and 'Agria' were used for the experimental purposes, originating both in vitro and from minitubers of the previous season's crops. Plants originating from minitubers were found to be simpler and cheaper to prepare for the aeroponic system of cultivation compared to plants obtained in vitro. The first harvest of the 'Cleopatra' minitubers began 43 days after planting in aeroponics, whereas the harvest of the 'Kennebec' and 'Agria' minitubers occurred 20 days later. The 'Cleopatra' cultivar yielded an average of 14.37 minitubers, followed by the 'Kennebec' cultivar and "Agria" cultivar with 16.91 and 19.43 minitubers on average, respectively. In the 'Cleopatra' and 'Kennebec' cultivars, the plant of the in vitro origin had a significantly larger number of tubers per plant than the plants originating from previous vegetation minitubers. In the 'Agria' cultivar, the in vitro created plants had a larger number of minitubers. The average mass of minitubers of all the cultivars under consideration was significantly higher in the plants originating from minitubers. A successive harvest of minitubers allows them to reach the desired size with dominant minitubers weighing over 8 g, which are considered large.",
