AB  - U radu je dat pregled rezultata koji se odnose na dormantnost, čuvanje semena,
prisustvo patogena i uticaj na kvalitet kod višegodišnjih krmnih trava i leguminoza. Brojna istraživanja u svetu ukazuju da dormantnost semena, ambijentalni
uslovi i vreme čuvanja semena nakon žetve, kao i prisustvo patogena na semenu
utiču na smanjenje kvaliteta semena ove grupe biljaka. Primenom izlaganja semena kiselinama optimalnih koncentracija u kombinaciji sa trajanjem izlaganja
moguće je unaprediti klijavost semena i za više od 25%, kako krmnih trava tako
i krmnih leguminoza. Sličan efekat za povećanje klijavosti semena obe grupe
biljaka moguće je ostvariti i optimalnim temperaturnim tretmanima. Na semenima višegodišnjih krmnih leguminoza oštećenje semenjače šmirglanjem i/ili u
kombinaciji sa temperaturnim kao i kiselinskim tretmanima takođe omogućava
povećanje klijavosti. Najzastupljeniji patogeni krmnih trava i leguminoza u zemljištu pri nicanju su Phythium spp., Penicillium spp., Aspergillus spp. i Fusarium
spp., koji parazitiraju klijance, izazivajući njihovo izumiranje, proređenje useva i
neujednačen porast biljaka. Od navedenih patogena semenom se prenose Penicillium spp., Aspergillus spp. i Fusarium spp. Našim istraživanjima je potvrđeno
da se ove tri vrste patogena u malom procentu detektovane na semenu, kako za
krmne trave tako i za leguminoze.
AB  - The research presents an overview of the results related to dormancy, seed storage, the presence of pathogens and the impact on quality in perennial forage grasses and legumes. Numerous researches in the world indicate that seed dormancy,
ambient conditions and seed storage time after harvest, as well as the presence of
pathogens on the seeds affect the reduction of seed quality of this group of plants.
By applying optimal concentrations in combination with the time of exposure of
seeds to acids, it is possible to improve seed germination by more than 25%, both
forage grasses and forage legumes. A similar effect for increasing seed germination
of both groups of plants can also be achieved with optimal temperature treatments.
On seeds of perennial fodder legumes, damage to the seed coat by sanding and/or
in combination with temperature and acid treatments also gives the possibility to
increase germination. Phythium spp., Penicillium spp., Aspergillus spp. and Fusarium spp., that parasitize seedlings, causing their extinction, crop thinning and
uneven plant growth. Of the mentioned pathogens, Penicillium spp., Aspergillus
spp. and Fusarium spp. are transmitted by seeds. Our research has confirmed that
these three types of pathogens are detected in a small percentage on seeds, both
for forage grasses and legumes.

The effect of mechanized planting on early potato yield in organic system production

AB  - The aim of this study was to determine the influence of mechanized planting on the early yield of
different varieties of potatoes in the organic system of production in the conditions of Western
Serbia. The early yield of different potato variety were studied during the year 2017 and 2018 in
location Western Serbia in village Lipnjički Šor (at altitude 109 m a.s.l., clay loam) 44˚ 61' N, 19˚
24' E. The objects of research were four varieties of potatoes: two early (Carrera and Bellarosa) and
two middle late (Agria and Desiree). The field experiment was set up as a three-factorial method
split plot, with four replications. Size of the experimental field was 1.6 ha, which is divided into
four subplot size of 0.4 ha. Each subplot divided into two equal halves of 0.2 ha: in the first half
mechanized planting was performed (A) and the second half with manual planting (M). Planting
dates were 15 and 4 April, respectively, in 2017 and 2018. Plots were harvested on June 30 in both
years. After the harvest the number of tubers per plant, mean tuber weight and early potato yield
were precisely determined. Analysis of the productive characteristics early potato yield in
organic system production showed highly significant (р<0.01) differences under influenced
genotype (factor G). Significance influence (р<0.01) years (factor Y) were detected on number
tubers per plant and mean tuber weight. Planting method (factor P) significantly affected on all
traits (р<0.05) or (р<0.01). Influence all interactions of studied factors (Y × G, Y × P, G × P and Y
× G × P) for examined traits were not determined. At all varieties, in 2018, a higher number of
tubers per plant were recorded, compared to 2017 (Table 4). The highest number of tubers per plant
in the two-year average was produced by Agria (7.33), followed by Carrera (6.80), and the lowest
by Bellarosa (5.52), due to ability formation of a small number of large tubers. The largest tuber
was produced by Bellarosa (78.30 g), followed by Carrera (62.85 g), and the lowest by Desiree
(44.0 g), due to ability formation of larger number of tubers per plant. The highest early potato yield
was determined also in the Bellarosa (20.80 t ha־¹(, followed by Carrera (20.09 t ha־¹(, while the
lowest (14.10 t ha־¹ (in Desiree. The highest early potato yields was found in all varieties on the
variant with mechanized planting in both years of research, compared to the early potato yield
recorded on the variant with manual planting. On the basis correlation analysis and gained
correlation coefficients very high (r = 0.81834, p<0.001) dependences are noticed between mean
tuber weight and early potato yield. Based on early potato yields of all four genotypes observed in
different year, to achieve higher yields of young potatoes in Western Serbia we recommend
growing early maturity varieties (Bellarosa and Carrera) with the application of mechanized
planting.

AB  - Owing to its characteristics, alfalfa(Medicago sativaL.) is the most important forageplant inour country.The great importanceof alfalfais reflectedin the production ofhigh-qualityfodder and alfalfaseeds, whichare a valuableandcompetitivecommodity on domesticand foreign markets. In this study, the presence of plant pathogenic genera of fungi on the seeds of five different alfalfa cultivars was investigated (Kruševačka 28, NS-Mediana, Zaječarska 83, Banjalučanka i Osječka-66) from three different lots (sites) of each cultivar. The detectedphytopathogenic fungion the alfalfa seeds caused a decrease in the overall germination, butthe present research results indicate a satisfactoryhealth statusof all alfalfacultivars and seed lots.
