Abstract
Present, emerging or re-emerging plant diseases due to infec5on by of the genera Xanthomonas and Xylella are con5nually challenging food security and cause significant losses to the EU economy each year, thus demanding for concerted R&D ac5ons at the interna5onal level, which will be supported by the COST Ac5on networking instruments.
